Sugar-Free Phirni

  1. Skimmed milk-150 ml
  2. Rice 30-gms
  3. Saffron 
  4. Pistachios-10 gms
  5. Green cardamom powder-1 gms
  6. Sugar free-1 sachet


  1. Place the rice in a blender, with a little bit of the milk and blend.
  2. Bring the milk to a boil, in a heavy- bottomed sauce pan. Add the ground rice and bring it to boil again.
  3. Lower the heat and simmer, stirring all the time, till the whole thing becomes one well blended mass. Takes about 20-25 minutes.
  4. Shut off the heat, and add the cardamom and sweetener.
  5. Place into a bowl and refrigerate.
  6. When the white portion is set, garnish with the almonds. Serve chilled.
