Cottage Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms

  1. 1/2 cup finely chopped bell peppers
  2. 1 tsp. ghee/cooking fat
  3. 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  4. 1 tsp finely chopped garlic 
  5. 1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
  6. 1 tsp garam masala
  7. 1/2 cup crumbled paneer (cottage cheese)
  8. 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander 
  9. salt to taste
  10. 20 whole large mushrooms, cleaned and washed
  11. 1 tsp ghee / cooking fat


Heat the ghee in a pan, add the onions and garlic and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.

Add the green chillies and mixed vegetables, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.

Add the garam masala, paneer, coriander and salt and mix well. Keep aside.

Divide the stuffing into 20 equal portions.

Remove the stem of each mushroom.

Stuff each mushroom with a portion of the stuffing and press gently.

Heat 1 tsp of cooking fat in a broad non-stick pan, place stuffed mushrooms on it, cover with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.

Turn them over and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes. 

Serve Hot
