Ingredients

2 broccoli heads, cut into florets

1/4 cup olive oil

4 garlic cloves, chopped or minced

2 tsp. lemon juice

Zest of half a lemon

1/4 cup sliced almonds/nuts of choice

1 tsp. paprika

1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes

Salt and black pepper, to taste.


 

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 F.
  2. In a bowl combine the olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Place the broccoli florets on a baking tray, and drizzle the olive oil mixture over the broccoli. Toss until well covered.
  4. Place in the oven and roast 12 to 15 minutes, turning at the halfway point.
  5. Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the broccoli and place back into the oven another 5 to 8 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Adjust seasoning and serve.
