Zaatar Mushrooms with Hummus

Ingredients

1 cup mushrooms, chopped

1 onion, sliced thin

1 tbsp. olive oil

2 tbsp. basil leaves

3 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 cup hummus 

1 tsp. Zaatar spice

Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil over a medium flame in a pan.
  2. Add in the onions and garlic, sauté until golden brown.
  3. Throw in the chopped mushrooms. Add salt, to taste.
  4. Let the mushrooms cook until all the water has evaporated and add in the Zaatar spice with the basil leaves.
  5. In a bowl, spread out the hummus.
  6. Add the mushrooms. Top with basil leaves and serve hot!
