How does the program work?

  • Step 1: Getting Started – Complete the recommended blood work and have your initial consult with Kripa to understand your health concerns, review lab work, and receive initial recommendations.
  • Step 2: Insights – Get your personalized health plan to address any underlying conditions with appropriate recommendations for better nutrition, sleep, stress management, healthy movement, and incorporate supplements as needed.
  • Step 3: Progress – Begin your health journey and track progress on your personalized tracker. Thereafter, review your progress and make updates to your plan during follow-up sessions, every 2 weeks.
  • Step 4: Support & Results – Experience a decrease in your symptoms and reduce reliance on prescription medication, under the supervision of your doctor. Meanwhile, reach out to us with questions via email, in in-between visits.

Who will be my nutritionist?

You will work directly with Kripa for all thing’s nutrition: your initial consult, follow-up sessions, personalized plans, and questions between visits.

Will I have to cut out lots of food?

At Burgers to Beasts, we only recommend eliminating foods that you are allergic to. Because typically, we only tend to binge on the foods we restrict.

However, for certain health conditions – we may temporarily recommend an elimination diet. Many suffer from these symptoms for long periods without realizing the connection to food. It isn’t until a food is eliminated from the diet, that the connection with symptoms can be made. After a brief elimination period, a personalized food reintroduction is a next step. Reintroduction involves adding back one food at a time to observe whether that food causes symptoms.

What about my dietary restrictions/preferences?

Individuals are unique! So, their care should be too. Each plan is thoroughly personalized – keeping in mind your likes, dislikes, intolerances, and importantly, convenience. Whether, you are paleo, vegan, pescatarian, or vegetarian, we’ve got you covered!

Do you run blood tests?

We do not run bloodwork in-house. However, we do recommend a list of tests before your initial consult. This complete blood profile test will assess your overall blood and cellular health as well as the risk of disease. Once this information is collected, we can keep it on file to track changes over time.

Will I lose weight/How fast will I see results?

Today, far too many diets are created solely from the perspective of weight loss. As a result, individuals tend to experience several symptoms like hair fall, acne, low energy levels, and missed periods, as a side effect. Instead, we focus on your health and let weight change be a by-product of that. That being said, we think the human body can safely lose 2-3 kgs/month sustainably.

Individual results and progress differ wildly, from person to person depending on several factors: inclusive of but not limited to the severity of the condition, medication, sleep, stress levels, movement, etc. However, typically most people witness a change in symptoms within the first few weeks of working together.

Are exercise recommendations provided?

We stick to our area of expertise – which is designing stellar nutrition protocols. That being said, we make sure to customize our suggestions to support your training regimen and may make recommendations for you to switch up your exercise routine, if necessary.

Do you offer shorter programs?

No. We strongly believe that 365 days of health can’t be created in 7-, 14-, and 21-day plans. This particular holds for health issues – wherein the body takes longer to heal (symptoms like chronic gas and PMS would count too.) Importantly, this is root cause treatment – which does not act as rapidly as conventional medicine.

What happens if I don’t finish my sessions in the required time frame?

We understand that real life can quickly derail the best laid-out plans. Therefore, we offer a 2-4-week grace period (depending on the case) for you to redeem all your sessions.

What is the difference between your in-person and online programs?

Both programs have the same offerings. However, the in-person program offers the body composition analysis test – utilizing the InBody 270 apparatus.

  • Step 2: Do what you can – In place of overhauling your life, we find one small thing you can do right today, to yield maximum physiological change.

At Burgers to Beasts, we don’t believe in labeling foods as “good” and “bad” – because inherently, food has no moral value. It’s the context, dosage, and frequency in which a said food has been eaten, that truly has an impact on your health status.

We only tend to binge on the foods we restrict. So, we refrain from dictating terms on foods that you can and cannot eat. In general, we only recommend eliminating a food if you’re allergic to it.

While our one-time wellness consult, medical nutrition therapy, and weight-neutral counseling programs entail real-time interactions with a nutrition coach to receive hyper-personalized feedback and protocols, SHIELD is a self-paced web application – which helps you improve your health on your own time. It provides the foundational set of skills that most people can benefit from – no matter who they are, what they do, or what their health history is.

Can I do SHIELD, if I have an underlying health issue/am pregnant?

While you can sign up for SHIELD, regardless of pregnancy/existing health issues, we believe that you would benefit more from our Medical Nutrition Therapy program – which is personalized to individual needs.

Can I do SHIELD, if I travel/am working full time?

Absolutely! SHIELD was designed keeping in mind the frequent-flier, the busy-bee, and everyone in between. The eating guide is super flexible and can be followed from anywhere in the world, even with limited resources. Either way, the focus remains on the weekly goals!

How long do I have access to the SHIELD platform?

You have access for a total of 77 days to the SHIELD platform. However, the educational guides (which are available for download) and online forum, stay with you for life!

Can I share my membership?

No! To strengthen the security of your account, we require two-factor authentication every time you log in. Once you have entered your password, a code will be emailed to your registered email. This secures your login and prevents attackers from exploiting weak credentials.

Additionally, each member only gives YOU access to the online forum – from where you can interact with other members. Importantly, as a member, you will also have your journal and e-notepad inside the platform.

What about my dietary restrictions/preferences?

Whether you are plant-based, love meat, or have food allergies or intolerances, we respect your cultural, ethical, and dietary preferences and have got them covered. The program contains flexible eating guidelines that you can customize to your preferences. Additionally, the recipes come with vegetarian, vegan, as well as non-vegetarian options. They’re suggestions – not mandates!

Are exercise recommendations provided?

While we provide daily workouts (based on the principle of progressive overload,) you can most certainly follow your training plan. All you need is a part of dumbbells if you don’t have access to a gym. This is simply a suggestion for anyone looking for structure, anyone starting, and/or anyone looking for a new way to move!

Can I consume alcohol/caffeine during the program?

Given that we’re looking at this program as a model for a sustainable life, you can drink alcohol/indulge in your favorite foods if you choose to! We don’t want you to feel burdened by the suggestions we’re making; we want you to feel excited about the possibility of change! Therefore, we will go over how you can incorporate indulgences into your lifestyle and still achieve what’s best for your body, guilt-free!

Where do I go for questions?

While you have access to an exclusive online community, we encourage you to reach out to us via email, whenever you need. You will typically receive a response within 24 hours (on business days.)

What is Burgers To Beasts’ success with treating certain conditions?

Several of our clients notice a significant non-tangible change within the first few weeks of working together. Some indicators like blood markers may take longer to heal than symptoms like energy levels and brain fog. You can find out more about what our clients have to say, here.

What is the Burgers To Beasts’ approach to supplements?

The truth is we don’t necessarily need supplements. We survived decades without pills and powders. However, we don’t necessarily breathe clean air, hunt for our food, get adequate sunlight, or even sleep enough. So, they’re great at filling gaps in our lifestyles.

Our take is simple – If you need them, take them – and if you don’t need them, don’t take them.

Our food-first approach recommends that you try and meet your needs naturally. But, if you struggle to obtain good quality nutrients through food – we may recommend a few supplements to help.

Importantly, we don’t partner with or promote any brands – so we are never financially incentivized to prescribe supplements. However, we may search the market to find certain supplements that are safe for consumption/third-party verified, for the best effect.

What does unlimited email support mean?

As a B2B member, you can connect with us any time via email with questions between visits or updates on your health status in response to the treatment prescribed. You should get a response within 24 hours, but usually sooner.

Please note that unlimited messaging is not for emergency care. If you require immediate medical attention, please contact a physician/hospital.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Once you have signed up for any of our programs (besides SHIELD, which is self-paced) - you will be able to view and book a slot, based on our mutual availability. Currently, the wait time is 5-7 days from the date of sign-up.

Will my appointment be virtual or in person?

If you live in Mumbai, you have the option of in-person appointments. If you don’t live nearby or would prefer the convenience of virtual appointments, you can sign up for our virtual programs which entail secure, face-to-face video calls on your phone, tablet, or computer.

Can I pay in installments?

No! We require complete payment before beginning any program.

Where can I find details about my upcoming visit?

As soon as you book your appointment (besides SHIELD, which is self-paced,) you will receive an email confirmation with details about your visit. If you have opted for an online program – the Zoom link will be provided in the same email. If in person, you will receive the address for your visit to our Mumbai clinic.

I have an in-person visit but would like to change it to a virtual one. How do I do this?

We understand that 'real life' can quickly derail the best laid-out plans and tight schedules. So, to change your visit from in-person to virtual, please drop us an email at nutrition@burgerstobeasts.com. Please note, that the reverse is applicable at an additional fee i.e. if you have signed up for an online program and wish to switch to in-person – you would be required to pay the difference in cost between the two programs.
